David S. Cunningham

Pastor David Scott Cunningham was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Shirley Cunningham. He attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system, graduating from Providence High School in 1993. Pastor Cunningham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Hood Seminary, Salisbury, NC. At the age of 18, Pastor Cunningham accepted the position as Minister of Music of the Marvin A.M.E Zion church. Two years into his tenure at Marvin, Pastor Cunningham heard and accepted the call to the preaching ministry. Pastor Cunningham would serve as the Minister of Music for 10 years.
Pastor Cunningham spent two years as a Youth Minister for a baptist church in Charlotte returning to Marvin in 2008 as Minister of Music. Pastor Cunningham was re-admitted to the West Central North Carolina in 2010 on trial and admitted into full connection June 2012, ordained a Deacon in the church. At the close of the Annual Conference, Pastor Cunningham was sent by the Right Reverend George W.C. Walker, Sr. to pastor the Crossroads A.M.E Zion church, Peachland, NC. At the second check-up meeting of the West Central Annual Conference in 2012, the Right Reverend George E. Battle, Jr. Ordained Pastor Cunningham an Elder in the A.M.E Zion church. In June 2015, Bishop Battle appointed Pastor Cunningham to the China Grove A.M.E Zion Church where God is doing marvelous works among His people.
Pastor Cunningham is the father of two sons Davion and Devin. He also married to the best thing to happen to him since his salvation the former Ms. Kindra Cochran.
Pastor Cunningham's favorite scripture is 1 Peter 2:2 "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby".
